Instcube Over Temperature Controllers

Many laboratory ovens, furnaces and incubators that are left unattended overnight are not fitted with over-temperature protection as standard. This is a potentially dangerous Health and Safety risk. Retrofitting by the manufacturer is expensive and takes the unit out of commission while the work is done.

The answer is “INSTCUBE.” The wall-mounted unit, fitted with a Eurotherm digital indicating controller and 15 amp relay, is a self-contained over-temperature control unit, which just plugs into your existing system. No wiring, no fuss.

Fitted with a 13 amp lead and plug for a 240V socket, and a 13 amp controlled output socket in which to plug the furnace, oven or incubator to be protected, it comes complete with a type “N” thermocouple (3mm diameter, 300mm long plus 2 metres of lead) covering the range of 30 to 1300°C. Other options including voltages, plugs and sockets are available.

Plug and protect

Set the digital controller to the maximum over-temperature setting and the Instcube will control at that temperature. If the protected unit's own controller fails, the Eurotherm Controller will flash alarm.

Need a bigger display with trend indication?

We can also offer the Instcube 4600 compact, which has a large 180 x 60 pixel display, which changes green “safe” to red “over temperature”. With the adjustable trend indicator set at ½ hour intervals, the Instcube 4600 will give true recording of the last 50 hours of the process, allowing analysis of any failure.
